Hot air balloon ride with Glenna and Jeff - Temecula, CA - August 24, 2008 Laura took care of all the arrangements so that Laura & Paul and Glenna & Jeff could enjoy an adventure riding a hot air balloon over the wineries in Temecula, CA.
A Grape Escape provided the balloon ride and the champagne brunch. The flight was over one hour long. Altitudes ranged to nearly as low as 6 ft to as high as 2000 ft. Since the meeting time was at 5:30 AM, we spent the night before just down the street, 15-20 min away, from the take-off location at the Hampton Inn in Temecula.

10-15 deg hotter at altitude, along with the burners above, made it a very warm ride.

Coming in for a landing? Nope false alarm. We just came down to catch a different wind direction and to skim top of the vineyard
Like "Soarin' Over California".... but without the seatbelts. And yes, you could smell the citrus too.
So close you could almost pick the grapefruit.
