Hot air balloon ride with Glenna and Jeff - Temecula, CA - August 24, 2008 Laura took care of all the arrangements so that Laura & Paul and Glenna & Jeff could enjoy an adventure riding a hot air balloon over the wineries in Temecula, CA.
A Grape Escape provided the balloon ride and the champagne brunch. The flight was over one hour long. Altitudes ranged to nearly as low as 6 ft to as high as 2000 ft. Since the meeting time was at 5:30 AM, we spent the night before just down the street, 15-20 min away, from the take-off location at the Hampton Inn in Temecula.

Big night out on the town in Temecula! Okay, maybe not that big of a night, but we dressed up for it.
We need to see the dresses on Laura and Glenna again.... but it's going to cost us, isn't it?
Bright-eyed and bush-tailed at 5:30 AM... okay, maybe not, but it is 5:30 AM!
Almost all the baskets had a "Happy Birthday" or "Happy Anniversary" banner attached. Later on, there was also one engagement announcement.

We were away from the other balloon as our had nearly twice the volume as the others. The other groups had about 6 passengers (plus pilot) while our basket held 10.

Yea, they are having fun!
Rapidly ascending to about 500 ft to catch a northern wind to take us to the south. Later, we ascended to about 2,000 ft to catch a wind to take us back to the north.
